Abergavenny
Museum
Abergavenny Museum is set in the grounds of a "Ruined" Norman Castle.
Displays include a Victorian kitchen, saddler's workshop and 1950's grocery
shop. There are also special exhibitions, children's activities and a small
shop.
Cadw
Cadw is the Welsh Assembly
Government's historic environment service. Its aim is to promote the conservation
and appreciation of Wales' historic environment. It manages 120 historic sites
and visitor attractions.
Caldicot Castle
Caldicot's magnificent
medieval castle is set in 55 acres of beautiful parkland. Founded as a stronghold
by the Normans and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic
and colourful history. Features include an audio tour, giant chess, children's
activity tower, under-fives outdoor play area, tea room, picnic areas and
barbecue hearths. There is also a programme of events all year.
Dalkey Castle (Eire)
Dalkey Castle and heritage Centre comprises a 15th century fortified town
house; Goat Castle; 10th century church and graveyard; a heritage site which
interprets the site; art gallery. A "Living History" experience
is provided for visitors during the summer and there is a similar schools
programme at the beginning of each year. Both of these are in association
with Delig Inis Living History Theatre Co.

Rhondda Heritage Park
On the site of the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery, Rhondda Heritage Park is
a living testament to the mining communities of the world famous Rhondda Valleys.
In a uniquely entertaining and educational environment, the Park offers visitors
of all ages a fascinating insight into the rich culture and character of the
area.
South
Wales Paranormal Research
SWPR investigates reports of apparitions, hauntings and other spontaneous
paranormal phenomena. It plays an important role in preserving the rich heritage
of Wales and facilitating maximum access and enjoyment to people of all ages.
By offering its skills, knowledge and experience in fundraising events, SWPR
also supports national charitable organisations such as Childline Cymru and
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Val Williams is one of its patrons.
Swansea Museum
4Site Education in Swansea is the service covering the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery,
Plantasia (The City centre tropical hothouse), Swansea Museum, Tram Centre
and Collection Centre. as well as its floating exhibits. The service has enjoyed
working in partnership with Chance Encounters, almost since its inception.
Usk Rural Life Museum
Housed in a malt barn with kitchen, laundry and dairy, the museum portrays
life in the Welsh Borders between 1810 and the end of World War II. With a
very "Hands-on" approach, it provides a stimulating and inspiring
environment for all ages. The museum is a regular venue for school parties
to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum.
It also caters for the broader interest of adults, both individually and in
groups.
